Chameleon is an AUv3 compatible sampler instrument plugin designed for seamless integration with your preferred DAW. The versatility of this program extends to its ability to function independently as a standalone app, enabling users to record audio samples using either the internal microphone or a professional audio interface. While it also offers support for incoming Inter-App Audio connections, its primary focus lies in serving as an AUv3 Instrument plugin for popular applications like Cubasis, AUM, Auria, Meteor, and GarageBand.

One of the key features of Chameleon is its sampling capabilities, allowing users to emulate various instruments by recording and mapping audio clips onto a MIDI keyboard. The advanced pitch-shifting algorithm simplifies the process, enabling the creation of custom presets with layered or freely mapped samples across a 7-octave range. Users can conveniently organize these presets into categorized banks for easy access and sharing.

Beyond sampling, Chameleon offers essential functionalities such as a sophisticated arpeggiator, onboard reverb, digital delay, and chorus effects to enhance the quality of sampled sounds. Additionally, it provides touch pads for quick sound adjustments and effect automation, along with configurable touch ADSR and modulation settings.

The program facilitates sample importation via iOS Files integration or simple Copy/Paste actions within patches. Users can also edit samples using built-in tools like normalization, fade in/out, cropping, and clearing options. Chameleon supports the use of external MIDI keyboards and Bluetooth MIDI for standalone sampling purposes outside of DAW environments.
